In October last year our agreement
with Bradford College to be our main educational supplier came to an end.
From January 2005 we entered into a new three-year agreement with Bowling
Community College. They will also offer crèche facilities here at St John’s
when required and they in turn have an agreement with Sure Start for this.
COMMUNITY MEETINGS
Fagley
Village Forum and the Neighbourhood Forum meet here occasionally throughout
the year.
We also
hire out the Centre to local people for celebrations and gatherings at very
reasonable rates.
STAFF
Simon Loveitt – Church Related
Community Worker (CRCW) ~ July 2004 - Present
As the CRCW, Simon’s role is to
develop the local community. This is still in the early stages but progress
so far has been good. From January 2005 Simon was also given the
responsibility of Line Managing both the Centre Manager and Caretaker.
Julie Taglione – Centre Manager ~
April 2004 - Present
From January 2005, Julie’s job title
was changed from Centre Administrator to Centre Manager. This was in order
to reflect the changing role of the position and the responsibilities it
carries. It was also agreed to increase Julie’s hours of work.
Mick Brannan – Caretaker ~ April
2002 - Present
Similarly, Mick is now responsible
for the care and maintenance of the Centre, Mick’s hours of work have also
been increased in order for him to perform this essential work.
