PARTNERSHIP ACTIVITY
St. John’s Centre has worked closely
with the following organisations:
Fagley Village Forum, Fagley
Community Association, Newlands Business Enterprise Ltd, Thornbury Centre,
Bowling Community College and Sure Start. Since January 2005, St. John’s is
playing a significant role with the Bradford Moor NAP, and its Community
Development Worker is the lead person on the partnership. This has already
led to closer work with Bradford Vision, the Housing Trust, the Police,
Youth Service and the Neighbourhood Road Safety Initiative.

Some of
our volunteers and the committee do not live in the local area, but this
allows for a strong, non-biased committee. It is our aim to be secure for
the future and hopefully we are on target to achieve this.
We are
undergoing the process of becoming a charitable institution. This should
open up many more options to us.
We always
welcome local people’s involvement in the centre, from day to day
volunteering, on the management committee, or as trustees. |
