STAFF

Simon Loveitt – Church Related Community Worker (CRCW) ~ July 2004

The United Reformed Church is investing £250,000 in the local community over a period of ten years.  This money has enabled the Church to appoint Simon Loveitt who will be joining us on 19th July. Simon is an experienced Community Development Worker and joins us from a project he has been managing in Middlesbrough. Simon will work alongside other community workers in the area and also help the Centre to refocus its development of services to the needy and disadvantaged in our neighbourhood.

Julie Taglione – Centre Administrator ~ April 2004 - Present

Julie has worked in the Community Sector the past four years, most recently for Bradford CVS and prior to that for the Thornbury Centre and the Reverend Paul Hackwood. From leaving school Julie worked for BT Plc for 11 years before leaving to bring up her family, part-time positions have followed since then with Yorkshire Water and Abbey National. Julie knows the local area well having lived in Fagley until 1990 and attended Fagley Primary School. She also used to attend both Brownies and Guides here at St John’s United Reformed Church.

Mick Brannan – Caretaker ~ April 2002 - Present

Mick was initially a member of the Management Committee here at St John’s, but following unsuccessful attempts at employing cleaning staff for the building Mick was asked if he would be interested, so here we are! Mick is held in very high esteem by his colleagues for his commitment and assistance. He has the responsibility of maintaining the building, caretaking, cleaning and general handyman…which can include plumbing and carpentry to name but a few! As well as working here he also does the same at Mortimer House, Learning Space and Noble House Community Centre.
