Many people pop in to the centre for cups of tea and
find out what’s happening here and in the wider community.

v
CATs has allowed both myself and my daughter to
make new friends and find out what is going on in the local
community, this has been a godsend as I have recently relocated.
v
There is a lovely and friendly atmosphere, we both
enjoy coming!
Comments from Parents attending CATS. |
Bradford College funded through Newlands SRB, and
CALTEC funded by Bradford Adult Learning fund, have provided most of the
courses on offer at the centre.
We have worked alongside other groups and agencies to
provide ‘joined up work’. For example the ‘memory day’ organised by
Powerhouse, Artworks, Taking Time and the Industrial Museum.
Powerhouse has provided funding and other training,
including:
·
Fund raising training
·
Walk to health training
·
More nosh less dosh
·
Festival of dance
·
First aid
Newlands Childcare have funded childcare equipment and
provided workers for childcare.
Other training that has happened at the centre over the
year has included
·
Bradford North Area Panel Fund raising, 35 people attended
·
Bradford Under Fives Association
COMMUNITY
MEETINGS
Fagley Village Forum and the Neighbourhood Forum
meet here occasionally throughout the year.
The centre is a great place for parties and
weddings; so far this year we have had 6 parties that were attended by in
excess of 1500 people.
